    CPU throwing

Disclaimer: Sliders are set to Pared's v 1.0

Maybe its just me, but I'm noticing no matter who the fielder is and where they are throwing from, they absolutely rocket a ball right to their intended target nearly 90% of the time. I maybe get a perfect throw two out of five times (40% for the arithmetically challenged).

Their success rate gets a slight boost if I'm trying to advance a base on them...or say I'm trying to steal a bag once in a blue moon (silly me!).

Suddenly everybody is Raul Mondesi and Larry Walkers Alien Love Child!!!!

Am I just facing some great defensive talent the first month of the season...is it likely a sliders thing? Will it even out like most things in baseball do?

Tune in for the exciting conclusion.............

    Re: CPU throwing

I have my sliders mostly All Star defalut, and I haven't noticed that at all. Sure, on infield throws, it's mostly like that, though I have seen a few throws to first go over his head or pull him off the bag.

I got thrown out at home plate once from the cut off man, but other times the catcher has to move away from the plate in order to get the ball.

        Re: CPU throwing

I think you need to do some more tweaking to your sliders man. I've seen all sorts of off line throws from the cpu. Especially on plays at the plate. Even when stealing, the cpu catcher will miss his mark sometimes.

Also, make note of the teams you're playing. If they have good arms in the outfield, you'll notice.
