Game Cube Controls

Has anyone who played or plays the gamecube version have a problem with runners not advancing when they are supposed to.

Like, man on first, and there is a basehit into the outfield, and sometimes the runner just stays put on first... i swear i don't press to the right with the d-pad, or the right trigger... what is doing this, and how do i prevent it?

Maybe its just me, and no one else has had this problem... share please

are you sure you have baserunning set to manual?

There is no option like that... but there is Pickoff Returns, and i just set that to Manual, and I upped the USER Runner Agression to +50, and still i see the same problem... It usually happens, when I hit the ball, and keep the bat going in the same direction after the hit...

For example: I'll press left with the stick, when the pitch is pitched to the left... it will go for a base hit, but mean while, I keep my finger to the left, and for some reason the player runs back to the base without advancing... I don't know if thats it... I can't help it... but this is really pissing me off... I would have been winning 8 to 2 if the controller worked... but instead i ended the inning 4 to 2, and ended up losing 5 to 4... i hate this so much...
that if this problem isn't resolved... I'm QUITTING!

HELP!!!

I have the Gamecube version and honestly I don't have this problem. The only thing I can think of is don't keep holding the bat stick. After you hit the ball let go of it and see what happens

I have the cube version and while I have not experienced the particular problem you mentioned I did have what I believe to be a baserunning error occur. I was batting with Lance Berkman at Minute Maid Park and belted a liner in the right centerfield gap. The outfield was playing pretty deep so they were in a good position to hold me to a single. Anyway, Berkman reaches 1st and (I am almost certain that I did NOT press up to make him go to 2nd) he just barrels around and keeps going to 2nd. Needless to say he was toast. That was the only time I have experienced that, so I suspect that it was either in fact operator error or an isolated incident.

I haven't seen this either but in Dynasty mode the Computer keeps putting guys in the bullpen without me authorizing these moves and then they will just bring one of the guys in when they want. Don't know why this is happening.

Any ideas.
