same here, 3 straight grounders to Travis Lee at first, three straight times he steps on the bag and the runner isnt forced out, had to tag them instead
Well if that isn't a blown call, I don't know what is....

Re: Well if that isn't a blown call, I don't know what is....
Wow, that's weird. Only my second game after buying MVP I played against the D-Backs. On 3 straight ground balls hit by me, Chad Tracy's foot was ruled to have come off the bag on the throw to first. I was safe on all 3 plays, yet I saw no evidence of his foot coming off the bag on any of the replays. I'm thinking "Oh no, this game's buggy as hell!".
However, I've probably played 30 games since then, and I've never seen this happen again. Strange... 3 times in a row in one game, and not once since.Comment

Re: Well if that isn't a blown call, I don't know what is....
I mentioned this bug in the stickied bug thread....
I haven't completely determined what causes it, but sometimes force plays at first just don't work. Throw to first, step on the bag, it doesn't matter. And when it is broke, it is broken for the entire game....
I had thought mine was caused by a wild throw to third that I made ( for no reason, mind you) immediately after an unassisted ground out to first, though I can't be certain. The runner ended up being called safe and I never could complete a force out at first again. The only outs that I made at first were on tags....

Re: Well if that isn't a blown call, I don't know what is....
It goes from trying to get a lighter to light up to a wildfire.
It ended at the end of the inning. I hit a couple fly balls to end the inning, and didn't see the occurrence anymore during the game.
And speaking of the home plate plays, I absolutely hate it when the throw is dwon the third base line, the catcher catches the ball on the hop up near his belly button, but your head first slide throws your leg up that high, and just grazes his glove as he catches it and you're out. Nothing you can really do there.Comment

2 or 3 times, on ground balls to the CPU first baseman, he'll field the ball and then just stand right next to first base like a statue and allow my runners to get to first base. I've played a lot of games, so 2 or 3 times isn't that bad, but weird.Of course, if Dawson gets hot, and
Sutcliffe comes through, and....
Pa, see what you did to me?
