Re: Closest you've gotten to a no hitter/perfect game?

I had a perfect game with Roy Oswalt going into the seventh. He gave up a single between short and third. Ended throwing a one-hitter vs. the Reds and winning 5-0. He walked a batter in the eighth and ninth. Had 7ks.

Next start he didn't last five innings giving up 6 runs in four innings. The Astros came back and won 9-7 scoring six runs in the sixth against the Braves. So he is still 2-0.

Clemens on the other hand has been a mess for me. He's 0-3 with an ERA over 9.

I had a perfect game into the 7th with Ben Sheets in the divisional playoffs against the Dodgers until someone (don't remember who) lined one up the middle.

I had a no-no into the 8th with Rich Harden recently (one error had been committed by Harden, on a line drive that bounced off his chest, this game is tough with errors in regards to pitchers) and then I gave up a single to Larry Bigbie. The tough part was that I should have caught the ball, I took a step back when it was hit and then had to adjust by coming forward. I attempted a sliding grab but trapped it instead. Had I not touched the analog stick it would have been a sinking line drive right to me.

The only no-no that has been thrown by my team (the Cubs) was by Zach Day of all people (who just finished the season with an ERA a hair under 7) but that was on a game I simmed.

I just had a close one the other day. Oliver Perez went into the 8th allowing no hits and striking out 11. It was my best game to date, and Nomar broke it up with a single to left. I pulled Perez after that because he was at 30%. He got the victory against Prior tho because I roughed him up for 7 runs.

I got a perfect game in exhibition with El Duque (on Pro) on MVP 2004, and one with Pavano (on All-Star) on 2005.

I got to the 9th with Tim Hudson although it wasn't a perfect game. I walked the first batter of the game and there was a throwing error in the 1st inning as well. After that I was perfect until the ninth. Hudson was pretty gassed at that point, around 25% left. I gave up hits to the first two batters in the 9th, so I brought in my closer to finish it out.

I threw a one-hitter with Jake Peavy. The only hit I gave up was a routine fly. I was on the circle and somehow my outfielder missed the ball. I still can't believe it. It should have been a typical over-the-shoulder running catch, but he missed it and it cost me a no-no!

I have had perfect games up until maybe the 6th inning at the most. My best performance was with edwin jackson he went 8 and only gave up 1 hit and 1bb. I do seem to get errors at the most inopportune times, after the error I usually give up a run or two also which is what happened of course. Kazmir/santana and jackson have all thrown 2 hitters.

Threw a perfect game with Mark Mulder in my owner mode (it was on Pro though). The funny thing was, I didn't even realize it until the announcer said something about it in like the 8th inning.
