I scored 5 runs my first game, 12 my second and then averaged 3-5 runs over my next five games, but over the last 8 games I have scored 2 or less runs in EVERY GAME! And I'm using the Yankees! Please help, I am having a horrible time hitting the ball and suddenly it's like the opposing pitchers throw more balls than strikes! 7 of my starters are batting .240 or less and A-Rod is at .188 although he has 9 homers. Please help me! What do I need to change so that the cpu pitchers throw a few more strikes? What am I doing wrong?

Seeing as though A-Rod has 9 HR's in only 15 games, I would advice you to stop always trying to swing for the HR. Try to just put the ball in play, a couple of doubles are just as good as a HR here and there.

just keep playing and be more patient and do as y2dan says to and stop trying to go yard all the time i hit situational ..... move runners up hit and run, steal. The thing about this game is if you start losing you need to nip it cause your team chemistry will start to drop and make it harder to win and youll tailspin into a losing streak. but you need to try to turn it around.

How are you hitting so many homers? I'm the Brewers, have played 15 games with these sliders and have only hit one hr. I usually don't use the left directional stick. I simply hit by using the A button. Do I need to start aiming up on the directional? Thanks Giantsfan for all you work with these sliders.Comment

Yes i aim up or to the side.......... if the pitch is up and away i go that way with my stick. Sometimes i push the stick up while i am swinging and sometimes i have the stick there waiting, it depends on how the pitcher is doing i go back and forth depending on the situation and whats working that game. I find if you just straight up youll fly out a lot. Alsp for instance. JT snow has a lot of red area and hes a good contact hitter not a HR guy persay. So instead of trying to hit a hr i hold my stick away left perfectly flat in the middle no up or down. Then sit on a pitch and try to go oppo. Funny thing is ive pulled some HR's out to right this way with him and Torrealba. So it depends on the hitter as well. The guys i aim up to the right and left corners with are Alou, Bonds anb Feliz .... my last season i think i was dead least in HR's this season i lead the west and i think i am about 5th or 6th overall. Another thing is i used to allways try to hit HR'S now i go for hits sometimes not using the stick at all and get a guy or 2 on then whne a Bonds or Alou or Feliz who actually leads my team at this time in HR's comes up i work the count more and sit on an area. You wont allways get that pitch but they come around. Then BOOM A 2 OR 3 run shot comes about. Another area is runs scored. I ws horrid my first season because i was doing a lot of bad baserunning now im playing more small ball and hit and run take a base to 3rd when a guys at second and they are gunning my guy at first ill wait till they are about to throw and then go for 3rd with the front slipper putting my guy at 3rd base so i can drive him in with a sac fly. This season my runs scored is way better im in the top 10 at this time i thinkOriginally posted by gcoons22
