User Power at 50 = more HRs?

Should setting my user power at 50 result in more home runs?

no, i don't think power helps that much for user. what you need to do is increase contact to around 30-40. this increases the green area on a pitch. otherwise, unless you are a pro, you will not time the hit enough. second, lower pitch speed a bit. I am at -15. some people like it fast but for me this is perfect. a 98 is still real fast but a change is slow. you really notice the difference. finally, you need to be patient and know your hitters. if your hitter has a hot zone inside and high wait for that pitch. don't swing at a low outside strike just because it is a strike. the pitcher may come into your hot zone so be prepared. hold up the stick at wait. i do this for my big hitters until i have two strikes. expecially in the later innings when the cpu pitcher is getting tired.

    i use the following:

    pitch speed = -15
    user contact = 35
    user power = 20
    cpu contact = 12
cpu power = -5 (i may go down to zero)
    pitch meter = -35

I usually get about 8-10 hits. if you let the cpu get hot be prepared to give up multiple home run bombs to just about anyone. the key to stopping the cpu is momentum.

To hit home runs wait for high pitches especially those in the top inside quadrant of the strike zone and press up on the stick. Practice your timing on high inside pitches.

The user power needs to be at least -10 and probably lower.
There is too much offense otherwise for me at least. Try it at user power set at -10 and after a few games the hitting should be easier and before long you may find that even -10 is too high.

Too many HRs would not be a problem. I have hit so few in the first month of the season that I will gladly take a large increase for a while.

Ive got the same problem. Ive hit about 6 HRs through 18 games.
