    Need some advice

I need to reduce my hitting success in order to firm up my sliders (all-star).

I'm currently 14-6 with my Jays, with an avg. of .301 for the season. Not totally out of whack but a little high. All of my games are pretty close, so I'd just like to make a bit more difficult to pull out the W.

Right now, I'm really happy with CPU Outfield speed at -10 and Infield speed at -5. I find that this gives a realistic amount of doubles, singles through the infield etc...I never find myself saying "I only got a hit because the fielder was slow".

The two settings I've narrowed down to are:

    Batting Contact- currently at 0
CPU Pitching Control- currently at -50

Which one should I alter? Will raising CPU Control just give me more strikes to pound? Or will it make them more effective in working the corners?

    Thanks guys.

ya i was using Pared's sliders and they got way way way to easy for me so i downed my pitcher meter just a tad to -28 and put my OF/IF speeds to -9 and i put the CPU's contact to 20 and power at 7 raised my power to 10 and my contact to -5 it seems ot be going alright when i face a tough pitcher i seem to be able to manage like 4-9 hits which is realistic....and against pitchers that i can see the ball well and only have like 3 pitches and i can time them really good i still seem to dominate so i might even put the cpu contact up to 25 at the max and my contact to like -8 or -9. o

I read somewhere that someone tested the CPU Control slider and noted it really didnt differ much AT all from +50 or -50 but the CPU Ballrate did so CPU Ballrate would be the slider to change and not the control but i dont know this for sure but worth tinkering with.

Try increasing the pitch speed to +6 this will make the ball come alittle faster and if you check the pitchers velocity in the editing screen you will throw the actual speed.

nect drop you contact imagine a small square on the end of the bat the higher the contact number the bigger the square and vice versa.

Mvp sliders go from -50 to +50 a zero rating would be at 50% the chart should really be 0-100 it makes more sense.

I have my contact at -50 as well as the power. Get the right cpu ball rate and your good I think I use +12 or 0 not sure.

I would definately start with CPU Pitching control. Im playing MVP Level right now and have CPU pitch control set at -12. (Contact is at 2 but its a different level so that isnt really relevant) Id give the comp much better pitch control...makes a huge difference.
