Thanks for your help guys. I found what I was looking for on mlb.com. In case you're interested, here are some of the single season records I found.
Best batting average - 1894 Philadelphia Phillies (.349),
post 1900 - 1930 NY Giants (.319)
Worst batting average - 1910 Chicago White Sox (.211)
Most home runs - 1997 Seattle Mariners (264)
Most runs - 1894 Boston Braves (1,220) in 133 games
post 1900 - 1931 NY Yankees (1,067) in 155 games
Best slugging percentage - 2003 Boston Red Sox (.491)
Most walks allowed - 1915 Philadelphia Athletics (827)
Most hits allowed - 1930 Philadelphia Phillies (1,993)
Complete games - 1904 Boston Red Sox (148) in 157 games
The Chicago Cubs the last four seasons have struck out an amazing number of batters. They own the four top spots in strikeouts in a season. They struck out 1404 (2003), 1346 (2004), 1344 (2001), and 1333 (2002).
Here's the site if anyone's interested. You can sort the stats on the left hand side of the screen and by clicking on the category above the chart.

It's under the stats section of MLB.com. There is a gray link on the left side of the page that says "Sortable Team Stats".Comment
