What happened in the Cubs game?

I noticed it was 5-1 and now looking at it the game has ended 1-0 and they stopped after 3 full and it was an official game... how is this possible?

It just depends on which site you are using to view games/boxscores. MLB.com and ESPN.com are usually fairly unreliable when it comes to updated real-time stats. I've noticed they are usually quite buggy.

SI.com has the game as a 5-1 final in a full nine innings.

yeah it just looked so weird because I knew the score was 5-1 from seeing it on tv but I went to watch it on gameday and it said it ended 1-0 after 3 innings I was like that's not even possible unless someone died on the field or something.
