Well, he hasn't pitched competitively in almost a year. He is reporting to Class A Rancho Cucamonga. He will probably make 2-3 starts at each level, and depending on his success you could see him by late July.

edit: BTW, Stephen Drew signed with Arizona.

I'm glad to see Drew sign. Watching him play college ball was a treat.

Drew and Weaver both got a ton of dough but not as much as they wanted. At least the Angles and D-Backs have the balls to play hardball with Boras.

I was hoping both would go back into the draft because it makes it that much deeper.

The big loser is probably the Yanks. They would have likely drafted Weaver or Drew with the 17th pick.

I heard something the other day that Drew signing with Arizona might be some type of package deal so that AZ will take the pitcher from Wichita State first overall. He is another Boras client.

The has been a lo of talks about Justin Upton going #1 to the DBacks. Justin is also dubbed to be better than his brother with a better bat, arm and speed. The DBacks has potential to have a pretty insane INF with Upton and Drew.

While the Angels are stacking up on Future aces in Weaver, Santana, Shell, Saunders and a few others.
