    Rocket to Rangers?

Makes a whole lot o' sense. He'd still have all the benefits of being near home and i'm sure the Rangers would be willling to give him the same perks that the Astros did. Not only that there's still the possibility he'd go back to the Astros anyways next season anyways if he decides to come back for '06, so they'd be milking Texas for a few prospects for renting Clemens.

I heard this on Mike & Mike this morning. It could be a nice deal for the Rangers if they don't have to give up too much. They are playing so well now, they don't need to break up any team bonds that might be growing.

    Atlanta Braves
    - Auburn Tigers - Nashville Predators

But if the Rangers get the Rocket I think they move up into World Series contenders easily...

As a Rangers fan, I'm not completely sure if I'm liking this deal.

Obviously the reward would be huge, but let's look at it from a different angle. Even getting to the World Series is a terribly difficult task, and it requires much more then just a solid roster. What happens if we get knocked out in the first or second round? We've basically shot down our future, and now Clemens is on his way to retirement.

I guess I would just feel more comfortable if we made a deal for somebody with a little more years left in them.

I think it would take away from the morale of the team...kinda like Arod. Yeah, he would be good and they would definitely give him run support but if he didn't travel with them, come to all the games, etc. plus all the media hype (like the Arod days) I think it might be worse than better. I like that's it's a team of almost all role-players vs. 1-2 superstars.
