    It's still too early to say if Beane made the wrong choice by picking Chavez over Miggy.

    Right now it doesn't look good but we'll know for sure 5-7 years from now.

        I don't think Beane would deal Chavez for McCarthy and Crede. He has guys that can play 3B. He has no need for Crede. If they offered Brian Anderson or Ryan Sweeney and McCarthy he should jump all over it. Anderson and Sweeney have the makings of All-Star OFers. Or if Chicago is acquiring Chavez, someone who will start at 3B for the next 10 years, Beane should ask for Josh Fields. The former OK State QB is doing well at 3B for AA Birmingham hitting behind Sweeney.

          Problem is, Chavez doesn't have the protection anymore that he had when Tejada and Giambi were there. Who's he have now, Erubiel Durazo..............

            One thing people never bring up during the Chavez/Miggy discussion is that Huston Street was a compensation pick for the O's signing Miggy.
