Rockies: Barmes breaks clavicle, out three months
Rockies shortstop Clint Barmes will miss at least three months after breaking his left clavicle in a fall at home, the team told the Associated Press on Monday. Barmes fell Sunday night at his home while carrying groceries up a flight of stairs. He will undergo surgery on Tuesday.

That sucks for Colorado and to get injured like that. He was by far the best rook this year. -

Re: Rockies: Barmes breaks clavicle, out three months
There are teams out there looking for a First Basemen, but I think Mark Sweeney is probably on the market as well.
As for Barmes, this really sucks. The weird thing about it is, does anyone buy that he fell down the stairs? I mean, this isn't your grandmother walking up the stairs late at night with too much weight in your arms. This a professional athelete, I really don't buy it.
Plus, MLB always has people lying about injuries. Jeff Kent "Slipped while washing truck" and Kaz Sasaki "Fell on suitcases".Comment

Looks like you should probably be celebrating 110 or 115 potential losses instead.Comment

Speaking as someone who had Barmes help save his fantasy team, this really sucks.Comment

Re: Rockies: Barmes breaks clavicle, out three months
Tough break for the Rockies, Barmes was about the only thing that team had going for it.
As for trading Helton: the Rockies will shop Helton, but his contract makes him fairly untradable.
The Rockies will trade Preston Wilson this season, the Nationals are rumored to be interested as could the Rangers.
Shawn Chacon, Brian Fuentes and poissibly Jason Jennings could all be on the move as well.Comment

Hoping Helton comes to Baltimore, I can't think of any other team that could use him as much as us. We can put Gibbons somewhere else and send Raffy to the pine.Comment

Yes I completely buy it, because the Trainer picked him up from his house, and no other factors caused him to fall, I sometimes fall on my stairs if I'm in a hurry. It's not so uncommon.http://flotn.blogspot.com
