    Day of the Shutouts?

Currently have 4 complete game shutouts (Well - 1 hitter; Carpenter - 1 Hitter; Mussina - 5 Hitter; Carpenter - 9 Hitter) and oddly enough, involve AL East teams.

Currently, Mitre of the Cubs just needs 3 outs from another complete game shutout and has allowed 5 hits. There are still three other games that are in the first inning, who knows if those could end in shutouts...

Whats the record for most shutouts or complete game shutouts in a single day?

You know everything is going wrong when you get shutout by Ohka.. this is a day after the d-rays hit well against Capuano who I find is much better than him.
    I do because I can, I can because I want, I want because you say I can't

And it seems to continue so far...

Blanton - 1 Hit shutout through 6.1 IP

          Thanks man.

Should Oakland finish off the Mets, that would give 6 for the day.

The funny thing about the Carpenter 1-hitter in the middle of the 6th the Jays TV announcer Jamie Campbell broke ettiquete by saying something to the affect of "and we go to the bottom of the 6th where Chris Carpenter is currently throwing a no-hitter!"

The No-No got broken up in the bottom of the inning.

Im embarassed to be a Marlin fan right now. I mean even the guy with 1 hand got hit pretty hard tonight.
As Shaquille O'Neal left the Suns practice court, he yelled out, "Alvin's the coach. We must be the Clippers. And I must be Olowokandi. Nooooo!"

Embarassed to be a Marlins fan? Think about how it is to be a Giants fan right now. We just lost 2 out of 3 to KC and swept by the Indians...SAD

A star was born last night, IMO, in the A's game.

Joe Blanton could be a superstar in this league on the right team.

If I played fantasy baseball, he'd be a pickup on my team right now, that's for sure.
