I'm not a big fan of the look, at least from that pic. Looks like a combination of the current stadium with the old one. And where is the facade?

Hopefully it is just a very early sketch.

They said the facade would be incorported into the new one. I would like to see a rendition of how they will display the retired numbers and plaques, I hope they don't tuck those away in some room in the stadium-too much history.

I don't like the outside concourses. They shoudl just leave the current stadium and if Boss wants to be greedy and put in luxury boxes... then just take out some of the Loge Boxes and put luxury suites there.

I really can't say I like it all that much. Its not horrible, but it just doesn't do it for me. Like Whiskey said, I really hope they display the plaques and such out, instead of inside a room.

I like the design of the stadium itself, but I do not like how it's an enclosed structure. My favorite ballparks are the ones which imcorporate the surrounding area, like Camden Yards, Petco and SBC. I also find on field boring, with the plain bluie wall the same height the whole way round. I prefer ones with differences like Jacobs or Camden. At least it wont be symmetrical if it has the same demensions as the current one

Not a real big fan of the new design. I would personally just leave Yankee Stadium as it is.

I think the stadium looks great. Hopefully they keep all of the tradition that they can with a new stadium.

Won't the 6000 less seats cut into revenue or will they make up for it in some other way?

Cause you sure as hell don't wanna see the landscape of the Bronx. **** is ugly as hell near where the Stadium is at.


Overall, I really like the first pic, like the outer structure of it. But the inside seems pretty boring. I dont like how it's looking very symmetrical.

The reason for the new stadium is simply: money

The stadium will have more luxury suites then the current Yankee Stadium. I really wish Steinbrenner wouldn't do this.

As for the sketches, The stadium looks good from the outside and the aerial view but the actual playing surface and surroundings look very uninspired to me.

I agree but I think they said the playing field will have the exact dimensions of the current one so I don't think the cketches of the field are accurate.
