Carl has always been like this. I could really care less about how he feels about things. He gets paid to hit the ball. Whether or not you agree with him, atleast he is firm and true to what he believes in.

I agree. But as the title of this thread states, he is no where near John Rocker. Rocker is a racist and I didn't hear Carl talk about any non-black people.

When I read the topic, being a white sox fan I said to myself, "Oh great, here we go" but after reading what he said I dont think it was anything bad at all. In fact I agree with him on all of it except the 99% of baseball fans not knowing anything.

if it is ok to be gay then why do gay people and their supporters get so upset when someone like everett says he dont agree with it (but accepts it)

and the wrigley thing that is the best park in the game along with fenway nostalga is what makes them great

and i agree with the fan thing but 99% is porobablly a little high i dont know how many times i have had someone try to argue with me about the game and just not have a clue about the game

I don't know what's funnier... this or the guy who said "amen" to this!

Either way, I've got zero issues with the gay community but I don't see Everett's comments as being demeaning. He makes a point and backs it up... and he makes clear that he accepts gay people...

His point is even a secular one... aka non-religious... a species success is in the ability to pro-create and multiply in numbers. Obviously, being gay doesn't hold to this concept. At the same time, there are way too many damn humans on the planet, so who gives a crap. Whatever makes you happy. The more gay dudes the less competition I have for the ladies. And I need the help.
