Astros vs Reds game to be completely made up... stats question

Simple: Do the stats that were entered in the 2 - 2 tie in the Astros/Reds game count, as they completely replay the game as a double-header later?

if they have to restart the game completely, then all the stats from tonight do not count.. if it was started from where they left off, then everything counts.. which is odd because this game was in the 7th inning already, so why dont they just start from there..

The game will be replayed from the start on Saturday as part of a doubleheader, the opener scheduled to begin at 5:10 p.m. EDT. The statistics count, so the few players who got hits came away with better statistics.

that's odd.. i wonder why they keep the stats, but have to play the game all over? & worse, there are no rainchecks for the game..

Yeah, strange. Exactly why I asked.

It's like how last year or two years ago I asked if a possible 163rd game (due to a Wild Card tie or something) keeps track of those stats. I forget the answer, I'll look again.

the thing also about the rainchecks is odd - reading the rulebook, if the game is suspended (after reaching certain points), then they wouldnt be honored.. now if you have to restart the game, wouldnt that count as a rainout..
