If George Steinbrenner were to sell the New York Yankees, what do you think his asking price would be? I mean i know he wont sell the team but I saw the ESPNews special on him. But with the stadium and the team???

Buying the team for $2 billion wouldnt be considered stupid. The way salaries and the networks sponsers inflate each year, I expect the team's net value to exceed $2 billionin the next 15 years.

Yeah, selling for the team for 1.5 isn't that outlandish.
You don't sell something to break even...

Bingo. Buying the team for 2 Billion would be a pretty good deal. Buying a sports team isn't a short-term invesment, it's a long-term one. There's no doubt in my mind that the Yanks will be worth more than that 2 Billion over the next 15-20 years.Originally posted by deeman11747Comment
