I hate to say it, but the Tigers need to fire Trammell..

He just doesn't seem to know how to manage in critical game situations. After losing 8 of their last 9, they are officially dead. I know he has limited talent to work with, but even now with Guillen and Ordonez back, they cannot get it done in 1 run games.

I think the 1984 gang as the coaching staff was a nice novelty idea, but they need to spend the cash, get some real managerial talent on board and evaluate the team for the rest of the year so they can make some off season transactions so they can make a run at the wildcard next year. Pudge only has 2 years left on his contract and others are done this year and next so I believe it is a critical time for the franchise if they want to have any chance of making a run to the playoffs otherwise we'll see another 10 or 20 years of mediocrity.

I would not be opposed to it, but I don't think we'll see anything this year...i'm not sure anyone expected them to challenge for anything, so IMO next season is Tram's year to make the cut...if he fails next year I bet he's gone
