    Final Vote

Using my trusty Hit Formula for the AL, and my dependable Ace Formula for the NL, I was able to make a quality vote. Since I am a fan of the Pinstripes, I voted for the best AL Candidate, or result, and I picked the worst player for the NL. GO AL!!! Here are the Results:

    American League (Winner in Green)
      1. Torii Hunter (41.9 Points)
      2. Hideki Matsui (41.6)
      3. Derek Jeter (25.6)
      4. Carl Crawford (23.6)
      5. Scott Podsednik (17.9)
    National League (Winner in Green)

      1. Roy Oswalt (64.1)
      2. Brett Myers (40.8)
      3. Brandon Webb (38.4)
      4. Billy Wagner (24.5)
      5. Trevor Hoffman (6.1)
So picking Hunter was the best thing to do for my AL, but picking Oswalt would be suicide... picking the worst pitcher in Hoffman was the best choice!

I just want to know: what are your formulas? I want to know how you came up with those numbers.

This Podsednik argument is really getting out of hand. I don't know why he is on the final fan ballot to begin with. A .280 average with a .328 Slugging Percentage is nothing to shake a stick at. I could care less if he has 40+ SB's, he still isn't anywhere close to leading the league in runs scored which would be the only thing that could justify his selection in my opinion.

          • Well you have the ALL BASE %, which is Total Bases + Walks + SB ... divided by Total Plate Appearances
          • then you factor in Rbi's, Runs, and a couple other things... and you come out with an average, and then you multiply that average by the number of games you play...
          • It's complicated, and I can't give you more info... I am going to perfect it and then Copywright it one of these days.

That's just great that voted for Hoffman because he's the "worst pitcher".

Oh well, keep voting for him because of that reason.

It is interesting that his "ACE" formula has two relief pitchers at the very bottom. Makes you wonder if it unfairly favors starting pitchers or penalizes relief pitchers in any way?

Now... I knew someone would say that... come on! Use your head! I only have 5 freakin pitchers listed there... and just because 2 of them that are relief happen to be at the bottom, its unfair... Its a freak accident at best...

Let me lay this down for you since you are so unfamiliar with my formula...
                  • 2003 MLB Ace Formula Title = Eric Gagne
                  • 2000 MLB Ace Formula Title = Mariano Rivera
                  • 1999 MLB Ace Formula Title = Mariano Rivera

In 2004 the standings went like this:
                    1. Randy Johnson
                    2. Johan Santana
                    3. Armando Benitez
                    4. Curt Schilling

You only posted enough information for us to guess at what your "ACE" formula is composed of.

                          Wow!!!

Podsednik & Oswalt won the last spots for their respective leagues.

Exactly what I was afraid of... the best producing pitcher is heading to the National League... and the worst producing hitter is heading to the American League.

Thanks... now lets see you get off your lazy *** and create something with some kind of value instead of being a waste of space in life... we need no more of that.
