    Way to go Raffy!

3,000 hits, 550+ Homeruns... I can't believe there are still people who question whether he's a Hall of Famer.

Ya thats true. If you just look at the company of Willie Mays, Hank Aaron, and Eddie Matthews that he joined, they are all Hall of Famers. This gives me no doubt that Raffy will be in the HOF.

Raffy is an absolute pimp. What an awesome ballplayer!

I hope he sticks around next year and gets 600.

Being 17 years old, I haven't been able to see his entire career from the start... or from the middle. But, from what I have seen and followed, I can honestly say that... well... he is a great guy to grow up and watch play the game so damn pure (well, with the exception of the late-night game ).

I'm in the same boat as you. With a career as great as his, and with him now joining a VERY exclusive club, how can anyone say he doesn't belong in the Hall?

His quiet success over the years probably won't be seen again for sometime. I know I've enjoyed watching Raffy swing the bat over the years, and firmly believe that Palmeiro and his smooth stroke belong in the Hall of Fame.

I called the kind of hit he'd get!

I think that Raffy is a sure fire HOF'er, depending on the HOF class that year he will be a first ballot guy IMO.

                    Congrats to Palmeiro

Not according to Skip "I'm an idio...I mean Expert" Bayless he won't be a HOF'er.

Who will ever forget when he hit a homerun off a Viagra sign in Texas... I certainly won't..

Bayless is an idiot. Murphy and Dawson in over Palmeiro? I don't think so. I think Schilling is a borderline Hall of Famer and Bayless has him elected already. I wish the guy would just stick to Morning Pizza so only the 10 people that watch that show have to be subjected to him.

I also think it was pretty tasteless of ESPN to put that article on their front page on a day of celebration for Palmeiro and baseball. They could've put it on the baseball front page instead of linking something negative to such an historic event.

Palmeiro has been a model of consistency and a class act throughout his entire career.

My hat is of to him.

That's my main reason for saying that Palmeiro will go into the HOF. He's basically the poor man's Hank Aaron. Yeah he doesn't have as much HRs as Aaron but you can count on Raffy to at least have 25-30 HRs, .280-.300ish avg and 100+ RBIs. Expand that to a long career and he's just gotta go in the HOF.

If he's one of those guys that have to wait a long time then i'd be really depressed because I think he should be rewarded for having one of the most consistent careers in all of baseball.
