Re: Hidden-ball trick.
I'd hate to be Terrero going back to the dugout on that one.“In my lifetime, we've gone from Eisenhower to George W. Bush. We've gone from John F. Kennedy to Al Gore. If this is evolution, I believe that in twelve years, we'll be voting for plants.” - Lewis BlackComment

Re: Hidden-ball trick.
I remember pulling this off in HS baseball. I played 1B, went back to the pitcher with the ball in the palm of my glove, stuck my hand in the pitchers glove like i was handing him the ball and went back to 1B. The kid was so mad when I tagged him out, he tried to punch me. Was pretty funny.Comment

Re: Hidden-ball trick.
Yeah that was funny. Also makes me wonder sometimes where these guys learned the game. Maybe my coaches stressed fundamentals more when I used to play. I dunno... Although I did have some incredible coaches when I grew up and in HS.
Anyhow, first rule of thumb for any baserunner was to never leave the bag until the pitcher is on the mound. If the pitcher doesn't have the ball and is on the mound, it's a balk.Comment

Re: Hidden-ball trick.
I still think the best part about the play was that the guy on third would have been the tying run in the eighth inning, so it was really a key playComment
