With the Reds crowded Outfield they would not take Dye or Everett in the deal, neither i suspect, would anyone else.

Replacing Rowand in CF with Griffey would be a very bad idea as Rowand is probably one of the best defensive CFs in the game. Griffey used to be, not so much anymore.

Either way, even if you put Griff in RF you can always rotate him and Aaron to give one an easier night if needed.

Speculate all you want about this trade, but Griffey isn't going anywhere. Old Man Lindner loves the guy.

Griffey hardly even plays LF/RF, I doubt that he can adjust very easily from his usual spot at CF. It's harder especially for an older guy like him.

I just don't see this happening.

Well he cleared waivers according to WSCR 670 The Score and teh Reds were actually thinking about putting him in RF at soem points during the year thsi year. Espcially in Spring Trianing. I'm sure he coudl make the switch decently well, or the Sox could move Rowand into RF

Of the 1991 career games Ken Grifffey Jr. has played only 10 of them have come playing anywhere other than CF (4 in LF, 4 in RF and 2 at 1B). While i think Griffey could make the adjustment to playing in RF i think it would be smarter to try it in spring training rather than towards the end of the season.

That would be lovely, however the Sox won't have that luxury if they aquire him in August. Therefore him and Rownd will have to split time between RF and CF.
