Preety sure the owner, if he wanted too, could've kept Dye and Damon and Beltran. the fact that none of them are with the team tells me the owner has no desire to win.

the only reason he was put there was because the owners were unhappy with Fay Vincent & put one of their own in his place.. the commish should do what is for the best interest in the game

What are the attendence figures like for the Royals? I'm interested because I know they're loyal but it really takes away your enthusiasm when the team can't even see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Isn't George Brett one of the owners? Why doesn't he make a bid for 100% control. I'm sure he'd at least TRY to build a winner.

Hovers around 18k. You can see that the attendance dropoff has been huge. Compared to the same date last season, each game lost around 15-20% of people.

George tried to buy the Royals back in the late '90s as part of a group that included his two brothers and Rush Limbaugh. Selig of course rejected the proposal and many think it was because 1) he viewed Brett as a threat and as a possible replacement for Bud as Commissioner and 2) Rush Limbaugh was involved.
