Francoeur definitly deserves consideration but i have to agree with John Kruk that Willy Tavares deserves the award as he has been out there every day since opening day and has been a big part of the Astros offense where as Francoeur, Duke and Jacobs have only been up for just over a month (or in Jacobs case, a week).Originally posted by abates21Jeff Francoeur for ROYComment

Whats going to be sick is when Tavares learns how to use that explosive speed. Of his 146 hits (coming into tonight) only 18 have been for extra bases, as fast as he is he should be among the league leaders in extra base hits. but, since he is a rookie i say give him a couple of years.Comment

I wish Sean Burroughs had half the speed Taveras has... Taveras has more extra-base-hits than Sean does this season... and that's including Sean's triple-A numbers!Comment
