    Re: Buy Or Sell? Thread

Thought I'd bump this thread since I forgot to include a "Buy or Sell" proposal with my last post myself.

Buy or Sell: The Brewers are one quality starter away from a serious division run this year.

Sell, too hard to tell it early in the season and do they really have better options?

It depends on what you call decent. I sell that they have a decent season, but buy that they have a better season then a year ago so that could be a decent season for Pittsburgh standards. I see them finishing 5th in the NL Central and see them winning around 65-70 games this year.

Buy of Sell: The Cincinnati Reds will repeat as NL Central Champions.

Buy. But it will be a lot tougher this year with the improvements the brewers made.

Amen to that, add to the mix that the Cubs have upgraded their team from a year ago. That makes a 4 team race, and some see the astros being in the mix again this year.

Buy or sell the Rangers continuing their excellent play all the way back to the world series?

Sell. They lost Cliff Lee, and in my mind Oakland's additions will prove too much (despite gaining Adrian Beltre, who, while he is quite good, will severely hinder them by crashing into Josh Hamilton and breaking his ribs).

Buy or sell: The Yankees miss the playoffs, and the Chicago White Sox/Detroit Tigers take the AL Central and Wild Card.

Buy. The Yankees don't have the starting pitching to win a enough games in a tough AL East. The White Sox and Tigers both added pieces, while the Twins added nothing but question marks and did nothing to improve their starting pitching.

Buy or Sell: Buster Posey hitting under .275 and less than 20 HR.

                            Buy.

He has no protection and their field is pitcher friendly. They will figure him out

Sell. It's nearly impossible for him to hit home runs in Target Field because he hits the ball from gap to gap too much, which is very spacious there. Even when he hit a bunch the other year, it's not like they were a bunch of no-doubters. A lot were doubles that just happened to clear the wall.

Staying on the theme of catchers. Matt Wieters finds his stroke and improves his average by more than 20 points (.288).

Sell. I simply have no faith in him and think when all is said and done he will be a total bust.

Let's stay with the catcher theme:

Buy or sell - J.P. Arencibia hits 20+ home runs this year.
