Re: Griffey hurt
Could his injury be more serious than first thought?
Citing "a source with firsthand knowledge who asked not to be named," Griffey could have "potentially a season-ending injury" if the tendon tears completely off the bone, the newspaper said.
A tendon tearing completely off the bone? Hmmm..... If true, that's not good at all.Comment

Re: Griffey hurt
even if Griffey doesn't come back this year, he's made a significant comeback and has a good chance of doing it again next year. I doubt he's that badly injured, but I could easily believe he'd be out maybe 2 or 3 months. He has over 30 jacks this year and over a .300 avg (or did it drop under a tad?), and IMHO that's a big deal, it's proof that he's still got it, and despite all injury he can still come back with it. Cursed or not, nothing can or has stopped this guy. Slowed him down? Definitely, but not stopped.Comment

Re: Griffey hurt
A source told the Dayton Daily News, that Ken Griffey Jr. actually pulled part of a tendon off the bone while hurting his foot on Sunday.
''Potentially a serious situation, potentially a season-ending injury,'' the source said. Griffey's foot will be treated with anti-inflammatories for the next couple of days. He might return this weekend as a pinch-hitter or even a center fielder, but if there's continued soreness, he could be shut down. Sep. 7 - 12:49 pm et

It's a shame that Griffey had to get injured again even if he does comeback this season. I was hoping he'd get rid of that injury all togetherI do because I can, I can because I want, I want because you say I can'tComment
