It'd be an absolute shame if anyone but ARod wins it. The MVP has always been given to the best player, and ARod is by far the best player in the AL this year.

i couldnt agree more will. unfortunately, a lot of people feel the mvp shouldnt go to him because hes on a losing team, which is very stupid in my opinion.

The MVP hasn't always been given to the best player. Take last year. Ichiro over Giambi? Now Ichiro was good, but Giambi's numbers and value to his team dwarfed Ichiro's. Like I said in another thread, it's not the Best Player in the League award, it's the Most Valuable Player award. Therefore, A-Rod should not win it.

Actually, the award tends to go to the player that the New York (northeastern) media can most easily stomach giving it to if they can't give it to a Yankee or Met.

That's the criteria.
