I have not seen anything... Plus one arcade title to add to the mix. Slugfest 20-04
Covers all the baseball games I have seen info on except for the new Crush Baseball title from BAM which will only be out on the PS2 and Nintendo

Re: What choices does an xbox gamer have this year for baseball?
I personally wish Sega would dump the World Series Baseball engine and use the superior HomeRun King engine which is a more realistic gameplay engine with smoother , more fluid animations.
However, Im really lookin forward to All Star Baseball 2004 which had the most realistic Batter/ Pitcher interface I have ever played next to World Series 2K1 on the Dreamcast.
People put too much stock in High Heat Baseball...it once was a fantastic baseball game in 2000 but it hasnt aged well and really hasnt brought much to the table in terms of innovations and deeper baseball atmosphere since.
Yes it does still play some of the best situational and fundamental baseball on the market but it lacks the spicey variety and that "anything can happen" feel of All Star Baseball plus I just cant get into it's overexhaggerated wiffleball pitching physics.....Gimme the realistic challenge of trying to hit a Randy Johnson All Star 2003 fastball any day and I'll show you one happy Dick when I earn my hits.Comment

I dont know if I would like that batting cursor as opposed to the pitcher/batter interface of HHFor a great Christian website check out http://www.gbntv.org/Comment

Re: What choices does an xbox gamer have this year for baseball?
what intrigues me is how so many people prefer a batting experience with a less flexible system ( no batting cursor ) and find it to be a more realistic experience?? I've played HH for many years now since it's first version and find the array of possible contact situations to be very limited by the fact that you cannot fine tune your swing as much as with a batting cursor.
I much rather the batting cursor because it allows for a buch wider variety of batted ball physics.Comment

If using a batting cursor means that I have to line-up a scope sight on a target and press a button at the right time then it seems to me to be more trouble than it is worth.
Swinging in 8 different places at the correct time is what I like. Great ball physics can be produced with this type of swing if someone will develope it.For a great Christian website check out http://www.gbntv.org/Comment
