It also brings up an interesting question: should all Major League stats be merged together?. If a player changes leagues their stats start over at 0 in their new league, should Baseball do away with that?. This is not the first instance in which a player has led the Majors in a catagory and not gotten credit for doing so (Mark McGwire led the Majors with 58 HR's in 1997 with the A's and the Cardinals but did not lead either league).
