The San Diego Padres have had a record of 39-54 since June 1st... and they increased their lead in the division 3 games.

Well the Giants and Dodgers have had alot of injuries this year. That is one reason.

          Jeez that's gotta be unprecedented!

I have this weird feeling that the Pads will knock off their first round opponent and then get killed in the NLCS.

The injury excuse can only go so far. These teams are just flat out bad.

So if the Giants were injury-free they'd still suck? I don't think so. The Giants would have a comfortable lead over the Rockies, Padres, D-Backs, and Dodgers. And if that were the case I think I'd be happier than I am now since boneheaded GM KT already notioned that "we can win with this team."

Here's another "awkward" stat. As pitiful as you want to call all the teams in the NL West, the other first place teams in the division hold losing records to the pathetic Padres, both a combined 4-9.

I'll add a little more salt to the wound: the 4 NL Wild Card contenders (Florida, Houston, Philadelphia and Washington) are a combined 12-10 against the Padres this season.

STO......as it looks, the Padres are slotted to face Atlanta in the 1st round.

If we lose to SD in the first round, I'll kill myself.

Houston leads the WC, albeit by 1/2 a game. If they win the WC, the Cards will play SD, and it'll be a rematch of ATL and HOU.

Well the Padres haven't beaten the Phillies in like 2 years, so I'll just throw that out there.
