What they need to do is add requirments to make you eligible for the award.

Here's a point that Ken Rosenthal made last night on RSN. Giambi may deserve the award but who is to say that he ISN'T taking HGH like he was before?

That's just food for thought. I can't indict the guy based on suspicions so sadly I have to say he may deserve the award after all.
Its called giving the benefit of the doubt. Thats what America is built on.... innocent until proven guilty. He was caught once... admitted it during the Grand Jury testimonies.... and had an awful year due to health problems which no one knows if they were linked or not to the steroids.

Just because it seems convenient to say hes back on steroids because he's having a good year... doesnt mean its sture. Is I've said many times before... all of his teammates say he takes more BP with Mattingly than any other player on the team.

Give him the benefit of the doubt until he's caught with steroids this season. That goes for every player.

Plus like someone said... its called "Comeback Player of the Year" not "Comeback Player of the Year Except for Those Coming Back From Injuries Possibly Linked to Steroid Use"

He came back from an awful year to have a great season no one expecting him to have. Forgetting the cirumstances... its him no doubt.

But I dont really see why anyone cares... its not a major award... especially now that the fans are voting which means they'll just vote for their favorite payer... so the arguing is pointless to me.

And before anyone asks, yes I'd say the same thing about a Manny Ramirez or David Ortiz if they were proven steroid users.
Same thing here if a Met was caught. If Giambi was doing this looking like he did in preseason and at the start of the season, when he actually looked normal, then more power to him. If he's not on something and he's looking like he's looking now, then I would seriously LOVE to know and undergo his workout plan. He looks like something out of a Rob Liefeld comic strip, minus the glowing eyes, gritted teeth, and swords coming out of his back.

          No, he shouldn't win it.

And I don't think he's back on steroids, but if some people do, I can't blame them. He doesn't deserve the benefit of the doubt anymore. If people want to question why he is playing so well, he has to deal with it.

I never once said he's back on steroids I said he may be taking HGH. That's a bit different from roids. I did say he deserves the award but if he's on something like HGH then he shouldn't get it. Seeing the lack of evidence for that tho I can't indict the guy.
