Scout's Honor is excellent. Really, details the common threads behind the people who are responsible for the Braves' success over the years.

Just picked up the book on Amazon this evening. That free shipping incentive gets me every time, but they had a good price on the Fresh Prince Season 2...so what could I do? Now that I don't want to watch baseball, I think I'll try and finish Scout's Honor and tackle Mind Game after that.Comment

I am a little over half done with Mind Game and it's a good read. It does seem to beat a few things in to the ground that are somewhat well known, like dedicating a chapter (although a small one) the similar thought process that Billy Beane and Theo Epstein share when it comes to looking for specific qualities in hitters.
Another pretty cool point was that good amount of past champions have had a losing streak as long or longer than their longest winning streak.
I'm not gonna go on too much more and spoil the rest the rest of it though lol.“Nobody in the history of the game tried what I just tried. We’re talking about on the biggest stage, in New York, playing out of position and asked to hit fourth for the New York Yankees. I mean, that’s never been done.” - Sheffield on SheffieldComment
