Is anyone else getting annoyed at FoxTrax?

Is that what they're calling it? I don't even remember.

Anyway, it's cool and all... they even show the trail of the pitch, and how far off it is from the... I don't know, either the borderline/corner or the middle.



The problem is, they show it (literally) every 4 pitches or so... sometimes even more. This is my first time ever paying attention to it so much, and frankly, it's just annoying that they show it every pitch.

Maybe for a punchout or something... or for what kind of pitch it was where some guy hit a home run, but not on a 2 - 0 strike atop the strike zone.

What isn't annoying about the entire fox broadcast? Between Buck, McCarver, the dugout interviews (which are rediculous), and the incessant ads, getting through the game can be a painful experience.

FoxTrax isn't even accurate. I've watched a couple balls hit an outside corner and then be placed well off the plate in the FoxTrax strike zone box. The fact that you can't see the ball in the replay because it's in flames is a little annoying as well. !@#$ing Fox.

The k zone on espn is far better than the fox trax. The presentation in general has been a let down this year. Buck and McCarver will put you to sleep.

The FoxTrax thing lost me when it reported fastballs breaking UP. As you all surely know, that is impossible...

Also, has anyone noticed that they seriously just dwell on every mistake an umpire makes? Especially when a team scores a run right after, they make the biggest deal about it.

I think thats because terrible umpiring has been the story of the playoffs. So every mistake by them is going to be magnified.

To have a real visual strike zone, shouldn't the camera be put straight behind the pitcher instead of to his right ? doens't that change the angle of the view ?
Then again, shouldn't the camera be put at the hitter's eye level ?

Technology is great nowadays. If scientist can smash sub-atomic particles together to create anti-matter, it should'nt be so hard for a system to measure distance and speed from diffrent angles.
