I wouldn't worry about Manny coming to the Angels unless the Angels are willing to send Vladimir Guerrero in the deal.

I wouldn't be surprised if Manny ends up back on the Red Sox after this is all done. His list of desired teams is very small, and none seem well suited to take on his salary, so would have to offer and unbelievable deal to get the Red Sox to pay some of it.

Any deal to Anaheim is going to involve Ervin Santana, who I doubt Anaheim is too eager to part with. The Mets are probably the only realistic takers and it sounds like Manny would rather stay in Boston than go to the Mets.

I think your right. I can't see Manny going anywhere because of his contract. I don't even think that the Yankees want him because of the money. And that's something if the Yankees aren't willing to pay astronomical dollars for a hall of fame player.

This from boston.com. I think it's a pretty fair assessment considering Cleveland has already said no way and Manny would prefer to stay in Boston over going to the Mets.

The Angels are preparing to make a concerted push for free agent World Series champion Paul Konerko, who has said he would prefer to remain in Chicago or sign with a team on the Left Coast. If LA succeeds in landing Konerko, any deal for Ramirez -- and the $57 million remaining on his contract -- isn’t happening.

What makes you think we want him at all?
