    Matsui Resigns

    http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=2225216

This was important... I was having Andy Pettitte nightmares all over again... and it didnt make it better that Matusi's agent is Arm Tellum. But its good this was done.

deeman, change the title to "Matsui re-signs." The title you have now threw me off.

Good signing by the Yanks. I really thought Godzilla was going to be an MVP-type player this year though. Maybe that'll be in 2006.

Huge signing. That would have been a mighty large hole to fill in the outfield if we had let him escape.

He's a class act. Definitely deserves the contract.

I am glad this is finally done, there always has to be drama right to the end. Now they can concentrate on getting a centerfielder and some relief pitching!

I'm glad they got this out of the way, but there's no way he was leaving New York.

Looks like the market for a power hitter just got set. I can see the smile on Konerko and his agents face right now.

Thats a lot of money! Matsui makes more than anyone on the Twins and Matsui isn't even the best player on the Yankees.

Same here. I was like, baseball players resign? I was hoping it was Kaz, but whatever.
