The manager of team USA in the World Baseball Classic is....

    Buck Martinez

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Oh man that gave me the best laugh today.

BTW he's the 2nd former Blue Jay to be a manager in the tournament as Ernie Whitt is managing Team Canada.

Not sure what the punchline is, but Buck is a better choice than anyone out there.

Buck was a terrible manager in Toronto. He tried too hard to be everyone's friend. He didn't really have a good rapore with his pitchers and for a catcher he was a terrible manager in terms of pitching strategies. The only real nice thing you can say about his tenure was that he helped develop Roy Halladay.

Oh, i'd take Joe Torre over Buck.

        They should've got LaSorda.

HUH? You mean they couldn't get Joe Torre, Tony LaRussa or Jim Lyeland? Hell, I wouldn't mind if they picked Dusty Baker. Just get someone in their who has a career managerial record over .500 and has at least a division title.

Maybe I might be missing something but is there a rule where current managers cannot manage in this CLassic?

I don't think any current manager would be able to do it.

Between Buck, Clemens and Bonds, let's go Chinese Taipei!
