Redman was awful in Pittsburgh last season, hopefully he fairs better in Kansas City.

I think he will. His 5-15 record made his season look a lot worse than it really was. Granted, he had a 4.90 ERA, but when you consider that a lot of players with an ERA in the 4.50-5.00 range had a .500 record, its not THAT bad. But yes, he was far from good in Pittsburgh.

The thing with Redman was that he was very good the first half of the season. His record might not have been, but his WHIP and ERA were good.

Second half of the season he just imploded. Maybe he was tipping his pitches or just wore down. Not sure, but I'm sure he'll do better in KC.

This was a big salary dump for the Pirates.

I wouldn't say that. KC needs a lot of starting pitching.

If the Royals can make the money work Benson could still be in the works but i would expect it to be for Affeldt who is arbitration eligeble not MacDougal.
