Jays/Reds/Nationals working on a big trade

Jeff Blair is reporting the Jays are trying to aquire Willy Mo Pena. He would then be flipped to the Nationals with Wilkerson coming to the Jays.

The names floating around to the Reds are Hillenbrand or Hinske or Rios and a pitcher.

I imagine the pitcher won't be Chacin and more likely Batista or Dave Bush.

Hm. I'm not too sure that Wilkerson is the power guy that we would be looking for... 11HR, 57RBI, .248 AVG, not too impressive for a team that's looking for power.

Unless we get someone else, why would we not keep the better hitter?

Anyhow, look who started it, it's not going to happen.

The Reds need to get 2 quality arms(starters) in the deal.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

Wow. Despite having them in the same divison, I really have liked the Jays the last 3 years, and this year they have put it all together. Should be another 3 team race this year, but Sox and Yanks will probably end up in some 1-2 combo.

It's possible the third place team in the East has 90 wins...

It's not that common, but it happened twice in 2002.

Hell, it's even possible they could have 95 wins, although that might be stretching it.

If I were the Jays i'd keep Willy Mo. Hopefully the flipping over to the Nats falls apart and we get to keep him.

BTW is there a way to find stats for players against certain teams/other players?

Thanks...He didn't have such great numbers against the Jays. I can't see why they're so tempted to acquire him. He does have some pop in his bat tho. Maybe they figure he'll breakout in the AL.
