Jose Valentin, he will play 2b for the Mets, and will most likley come off bench if the Mets can't move KAZ, if they do move Kaz he very well may start, they said even though he is 36 he is in very great shape, this was said my Omar. Decent pickup I think...lol

I heard a rumor that the reason no Manny to the Mets trade has taken place yet is because the Mets want the Red Sox to take Kaz. You guys hear anything similar?

Haven't heard anything like that, but Kaz is making 8 million this year, I wouldn't take him either. I doubt thats reason why the deal isn't getting done or won't get done, if the Mets want Manny and they want Boston to take Kaz, and Boston says know, The could make somthing work without Kaz being involved.

yup - I read that the Mets wanted to have the Sox take Matsui in the deal.. but what do they need Valentin for? isnt he the guy that strikes out a ton? not really the PH the Mets need..

Haven't heard anything like that, but Kaz is making 8 million this year, I wouldn't take him either. I doubt thats reason why the deal isn't getting done or won't get done, if the Mets want Manny and they want Boston to take Kaz, and Boston says know, The could make somthing work without Kaz being involved.

Talk to Seattle about him. He would have to be interested in playing with a couple of other Japanese All-Stars. I know Kaz has a limited NTC, and I think Seattle isn't on the list. Pay a little of his salary and don't ask for much back and they should be able to rid themselves of him.

I'd hate to part with Milledge... I think that is mortgaging the future... I say we stand pat and go with what we have... It's still been a pretty good offseason.

I'm sorry I know Milledge is our Top guy, but he's 20 years old and a CF, We have out CF for the next six years, I just don't think he will have a place on this team anytime soon, unless they change him to LF/RF, and I not a firm beliver on changing a guys position. The Mets are being built to win and win soon, like now. The Mets also have a habit of leaving guy's in the minors to long. I say if you can trade Milledge for a Top Pitcher or Power slugger like Manny, you do it and do it now. For all we now Milledge could be nothing but Hype in the end. There just no given he will be a great MLB player, none.
