Mariners sign Jarrod Wasburn and Carl Everett

Washburn is going to get a contract that is about 4 years that will cost between 30 and 38 million. This is one of the worst signings of the off-season. I would only want Wasburn on the Mariners roster if it was for 2 years 10 million, at most.

Carl Everett, he is crazy, old, and not very good anymore. He's a DH that can possibly hit 20 home runs, but he'll probably get hurt and go crazy. This forces Raul Ibanez into the outfield anytime that he plays....and that will hurt the Mariners as much as him hitting .250. He signed a one year deal for about 3.5 million.

Bill Bavasi has just proven himself to be one of the worst General Managers in the game of baseball.

Wash is overpaid, but then again I guess that comes with the inflated pitcher salaries this year.

No, he did that with the Angels back in the early to mid '90's

another move everyone else hates that I like.

Now don't get me wrong, I hate the Everett pick up....that was just ridiculous...but Washburn? Thank you god. Moyer, Hernandez, Washburn, Piniero, ect.? Come on guys, admit it. We need Washburn. At least they FINALLY SIGNED SOME DECENT PITCHING!! and it's a good signing, too, considering Washburn isn't moving from anywhere...he's going from the AL West to...the AL West...where he's played for more than a few years...think about some of the other signings this offseason with pitchers moving from NL to AL and back...Maybe the M's didn't get the monster superstar you wanted, but hell man...

I've been waiting for the past 5 years for the M's to get some pitching, and they finally did, and NOTHING is going to ruin THAT FACT for me.

You better hope Washburn stays healthy, which has been a problem.
