Re: Royals- not lovable losers anymore??
No offense to the fans....but at what point were the Royals ever "Lovable"?
This isn't going to make them a winning team....Royals fans realize this, I hope....They just might not be the worst team in the MLB now....that's nothing to be excited about...
but whatever floats your boat, I guess....I'd just wait until they made some really big moves to suggest a change...Comment

Re: Royals- not lovable losers anymore??
Well they are not loveable people just don't really care about them much. I mean I did kind of feel like awww look at the little Royals trying to compete a in 2003, then they came back with back to back 100+ loss seasons. So I say who cares about them.Comment

I think the Royals are just trying to make it look like they're competitive. I wonder how good the farm system is? I've heard that it's a good system and they're supposed to have some kids coming up.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: Royals- not lovable losers anymore??
The Royals are going nowhere next season. Almost all of their additions are guys in the 30's that are past their prime.
I remember reading last season the Angels offered Kotchman for Sweeney and the Royals said no. I hope that was false because you would have to be an idiot to turn that trade down.
I would keep an eye on the Royals 2 years from now when Gordon, Butler, and Huber arrive from the minors.Comment

At least their front office is trying. That's more than the Orioles front office can say.Comment

Re: Royals- not lovable losers anymore??
On one hand i like that the Royals are signing players and trying to improve, on the other hand this is exactley what the Royals did after the 2003 season and it blew up on them.
The Royals have so many good young players: Blanco, Gotay, Huber, Grienke, Gordon, Butler, Teahen, Bautista, Burgos, Howell, Murphy. David DeJesus is only 26 and Runelvys Hernandez is only 27, if they would just choke it down and let these guys play together for a couple of years we could see the Royals become like the Twins and be competitive with their own players. Instead they bring these guys up, they start to struggle and they send them down. Just let the kids play and add a player here or there rather than changing your whole roster every year.Comment
