I'd say the most obvious on that list is Rey Sanchez... you could just tell that guy was stuffed to the brim with roids.

I've always kinda thought Damon was on Roids....

It's kinda sad if Joe Randa was on roids too. I like Randa, he strikes me as a blue collar guy who can get things done.

I find it interesting that there's no "Especially myself" attached to his statement....clearly he's one of those people...ever since the crack down on sterroid use in the MLB, his numbers have dropped significantly.

I think there has never been more proof that you need a little more than steroids to perform at a certain level than this story.

How can you all say Randa was juicing? I totally can't see that at all. Great ballplayer. Guy has been consistent his whole career. BA of .280-.300, 10-20 HR's. If he was juicing I think we'd see a 30 HR year or something. Randa's numbers in 1999 were probably due to the fact he left the Tigers and got 160 more AB's compared to 1998.

You can't just look at power numbers with steroids. Lawton and Sanchez (Alex) proved that.

I agree steriods don't make you a hulking power hitter it allows your muscles to regain their strength much quicker.

It leafves much less downtime.

That is the reason why you see alot of the relievers in the minors getting busted it allows them to stay in the mix much much longer.

I'm totally on board with that. I know about the recovery time for muscles due to steroids. Maybe that's why he was able to get in so many at-bats? I dunno. I might just be in a state of denial because I like the guy. I'm sure there are plenty of good, keep-your-nose-clean kind of players out there who have gotten "help" that would shock us that they juiced. I can tell you that even though Randa isn't an all-star, I'd be shocked if it came out that he was doing that. Shocked and very disappointed.

That is an interesting bit of information, especially if you look at all the back problems Sweeney has had in the last couple years. maybe the muscles are breaking down now that he has been off. You never know with any athlete now a days. Seems like you almost have to cheat in order to stay "up" with everyone else, who may or may not be cheating.

There's definitely some truth to that in my opinion. I'm sure there are plenty of young guys doing it the right way that some of the vets or guys that just can't cut it need the juice to keep up with them.
