        Don't get me wrong, I would love to have him on the Red Sox, but his numbers are greatly inflated by playing in Texas. His 3 year home/away splits:

        Home: .311/.390/1.019
        Away: .253/.334/.788

          True, but you can say the same about a lot of guys. Ballpark dimensions definitely play a role in many players' stats.

            Would've liked 4-5 years but I'll take it. I'm really looking forward to this season and hope the pitching really picks up.

                    I wouldn't get to excited over this deal, all it does is basically get him through his arbitration years, where he wouldn't be a free agent anyways. He's still going to be a free agent in his first year eligible.
