Funny as to how far Sammy has slipped from the limelight. 5 years ago no one would have even thought of Jorge Sosa over Sammy.

As far as I'm concerned, he deserves it. IMO I've been waiting for the year that he would put up numbers like this. I'm not going to accuse him of steroids and such... I'm just going to overrate him for being "lucky". Swinging 200% and hitting the ball for that perfect 45* angle of trajectory 60 times in 3 years will be what I call luck. I never ever thought that he was a good hitter, and those 60+ home run seasons just helped his cause for a little while.

Finally, his lack of practice for a good baseball swing caught up to him. He could be a decent .295, 20 HR, 110 K hitter, but instead he goes not only for the fences, but the upper deck and beyond. Shame on him. Like I said... he deserves it. IMO he did not deserve a starting spot on the O's lineup. He only hurt them.
