Good signing IMO. A club option for a third year includign a 500,000 buyout. With Dunn, Pena, and Griffey, if all healthy, that is one powerful outfield. However if Dunn does go to first, who plays Left Field?
Dunn signs two year 18.5 million dollar contract.

This is a good deal for both sides.
If Dunn keeps up his production, I expect the Reds to pick up the 13 mil option.
The OF will be Pena, Griffey, and Kearns.
Too bad the Reds have awful pitching at the big league level and little depth in the farm system. It will be another below .500 season for the Reds.Comment

I don't know if they quite have awful pitching for the big league level. But for GAB? Again... Dan O' Brien or whoever the GM is did not have ANY sinkerballers in his starting rotation. He needs some. He gets them (1 through 5, plus relievers), and they will have an advantageous season.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

I know the Reds were big on picking up Jake Westbrooke from the Indians but I'm glad we didn't give him up. Although I will say, a sinker like Westy at GAB would be a great thing for the Reds.http://flotn.blogspot.com

So i guess they didn't bring in any higher intelligence for their FO spot when they fired their GM earlier this offseason....“Nobody in the history of the game tried what I just tried.
