Hmm you know I can very well see Roy winning another Cy Young. He was well on his way to winning one last year when his season was cut short.

Jimmy Rollins and Derek Jeter second in MVP voting?

That's a risky call to make. I wish they had an explanation as to why they picked those two guys.
"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

Yah and as last year proved, Santana won't necessarily win it even when he has the best stats.

I was really hoping that they'd pick Arizona higher than 4th in the West.
There is no place like Nebraska
            Dear old Nebraska U.
Where the girls are the fairest,
            The boys are the squarest,
Of any old school that I knew.
There is no place like Nebraska,
            Where they're all true blue.
            We'll all stick together,
            In all kinds of weather,
            For Dear old Nebraska U!

Yah no kidding, neither of them are even the 2nd best hitter on their team. No way they come anywhere near an MVP.

Having the best stats on the team don't always equate to an MVP award, just look at Kent in 2000 and Ichiro in 2001. Bonds and Boone were just sick, neither won the MVP though.

I dunno, Jeter has struck me as the very consistent ballplayer who doesn't put up mind blowing numbers. I think it's kinda asking a lot to expect him to make huge strides offensively.

Yah but if Jeter was going to win an MVP, he would have by now. His best finish was 3rd in 1998 and he hasn't finished better than 10th in the last 5 years. He's consistent but nowhere near MVP type numbers.

Rollins on the other hand plays in the same league as Pujols. Nuff said.

It's nice of you to post these predictions, but why should these guys' opinions be taken more seriously than anybody else here? Because they have a deal with some publisher?

Nobody can accurately predict the future. Sure, it might be fun for some to write, and also fun for others to read, but how is this practical?

The Padres finishing third = 76-83 wins = Peavy not getting enough wins to win the Cy Young award.

Nobody said the predictions are going to happen, not at all. I just picked up the book and posted what I read, I kinda do this every year, i did it the last two years, I can't wait for baseball to start and i know guy's feel the same as me, so I thought I would be nice and post, like I said nobody said these are facts.
