One of my all-time favorite players to watch and I got to personally meet and chat with him for quite a while a few years back.
Hopefully all goes well with his recovery. -

Yes, I heard it about an hour ago on the Home Plate channel. My prayers and hope for as full of a recovery as possible are going to him, his family and friends. Having a family member (younger brother-46 years old) suffer a stroke in October 2005...I have an idea of the emotions that are surrounding his family and friends right about now.

I remember SI making an issue of his weight a couple of years ago when he was going through that sexual assault charge... He's only 5'8", and even then, he was well over 300 lbs... Not to mention that he has cardiovascular problems in his family, which doesn't help...Comment

According to Yahoo, Puckett was 5-6, 190 pounds.....yeah, maybe in his rookie year! As a Twins fan who grew up watching him, I hope he makes it out in good shape.Comment
