They may be hopping on the bandwagon but it's nice to see the Jays getting some love for the first time since '94.

If the Jays get some lucky breaks then this can happen. The playoff race/world series race is wide open this year.

LMAO, he has a right at his opinion. He's one of the best sports reporters in any sport.

I'm not surprised with his prediction. He's on the payroll of the owner of the Jays since he works for Sportsnet.

True, but that's not his main gig. His main gig is FSN. Hell i've seen him on some rinky dink MLB show in the States last summer.

i wouldn't mind seeing it happen, but doubtful for sure...

burnett will miss the 1st two starts, and could face nagging down the line...

if i am to pick a sleeper, it will not be toronto...though i don't know who...cleveland? texas? maybe even the chisox, i am sure few expect them to repeat

Is this really deserving of its own topic? This place would be out of control if a new topic was made anytime a prominant sports reporter picked someone's favorite team to win it all.

The jays will struggle just to get third place. Win the division or wild card? Not a chance.

He's always objective towards the Jays though. During the winter meetings, he questioned some of our moves. It's not like he was saying everything we were doing was 100% excellent.

He's said he just did it because everytime he tries, he gets it wrong. So he just threw out a somewhat competitive team to win it...he also wanted to get JP to stop bitching at him for all the articles he wrote bashing the offseason moves.

I don't normally read these pre-season WS predictions. Too much can happen.

And from the looks of the thread, he seems to have made a questionable pick to say the least. But Rosenthal is usually great at what he typically does, breaking stories/trades and general reporting on baseball. Maybe he should leave his predictions to himself next time.

Whether these predictions are from bandwagon hoppers or whatever it might be, I'm happy to see another team that hasn't been getting much of the spotlight the past few years, finally getting some. Another team, more compettition, another great baseball season. It's good for everyone.
