1-1-1, 3-5-5, or 5-7-7?

Which playoff format would you prefer for baseball?

Honestly, I'm really just all for watching baseball... it's terrific. But, IMO, that's a lot of games. I mean, the playoffs go for a LONG time, during all of October. This is where a lot of people lose interest in baseball, and this is why I think that sports like Football and College Basketball succeed so much... because it is single elimination. Granted, I don't want that either... 1 game against each other is really nothing, mainly because of pitching, and pitchers used.

I think that I like 3-5-5 the most, but I am completely satisfied with keeping 5-7-7. It's just that I don't think many other people are.

I don't see many people complaining about the format of the playoffs. The last couple playoff runs have been VERY good. I say stick with the status quo.

I would actually prefer a 7-7-7 format.

You'd need to shorten the season (i've been hearing some ppl advocate going back to 154 games or even go to a 124 game schedule) or start the season even earlier which is crazy cuz they'd be playing in even more frigid temps in the northeast.

If you go to 7-7-7 with the current timing of the baseball season then they'll be playing into early November!

I think it's alright, if it had to change, I'd say go with a 5-5-7

Those 5 game series can be incredibly exciting.

When you play a 162 game season, there should be a good number of playoff games.

yeah, that would be terrible. plus, the playoffs would last all of a week.
